I promise myself to take pictures so I'll remember. (: (September 4, 2008, Julie Borromeo Dance Studio) I uploaded the song for you to download if you want to practice (yihee, I know you want to. Hahaha!): Britney Spears - Get Naked (I Got A Plan) Start counting around 1:04 when you hear "crazy." Yahoo! Let's dance some more. (Let me know if you want this locked haha!)
Download this and other original video files with Multiply Premium. The Summit Cru (Crew? I don't na remember sa tagal haha) is baaaaack. Yahoo! I missed dancing!
Didn't upload the videos of us actually dancing (sayang, yun yung buo), because everyone might kill me if I did. So here is Mara with her awesome choreography.
This kind of schmexy, I like for some reason. d:
| | Dear Candy Girls and Guys,
What do Sam Concepcion, Dino Imperial, AJ Perez, Yael Yuzon, Einar Ingebrigtsen, Kenny Waymack, Francis Ramos, and Mickey Perz have in common? They’re all Certified Candy Cuties, that’s what!
Yep, it’s that time of the year again. The search for 2008’s CANDY CUTIES officially starts now… and it starts with YOU! If you know anyone—your brother, cousin, boyfriend, guy bud, classmate, crush, neighbor, sister’s blockmate’s nephew, etc.—who has Candy Cutie potential, do let us, and the rest of the Candy world, know.
Send in their name, age (he should be 13-25), school/occupation, and two clear photos (we have to see his face, so no baseball caps, shades, and dim lighting, please) to certifiedcandycuties@gmail.com. Please include their contact numbers, home address, and email addy as well. Feel free to give us as many cuties as you want, and you might just see them on the pages of Candy. Wouldn’t it be great to flip open our September 2008 issue and see one (or two, or three) of the guys in your life smiling back at you?
For celebrity cuties, just post their names on the Candy Cuties thread in TeenTalk. Oh, and tell us who you want to see on the cover too.
Deadline is on June 6, Friday, ‘k? We’ll be waiting! Thanks!
PS: Don’t worry, all nominations will be kept confidential—we promise. (Meaning, we won’t tell your crush that you find him cute enough to send us his photo!)
Love, The Candy Team
P.S. Since nainggit ako sa post ni Angel, I'm also posting behind-the-scenes pictures from last year's Candy Cuties shoots. Grabe, sobrang old school. Kamukha ko pa si Patrick Garcia sa pictures. Hehe! |
In attendance: Marie, Cindy, Red, Jenny, Lana, Coni, Mel, me, and new student (haha) Mica. I personally thought it was much harder than last week's choreo (the beat changes in the last part), but I liked it, anway. d: The song for those who want to practice (haha, you know you want to): DownloadThanks for teaching, Mycs! (:
Download this and other original video files with Multiply Premium. After "Feedback," we learned another new choreo. This time to another Janet Jackson song (medley!?), "So Much Betta." Choreography by Mycs. (:
Rochelle, wait for the part where you clap with so much kilig that you got the steps. :))
I love it!
P.S. May typo ako sa video. Hahaha! "Pinanindigan" pala dapat. d: Tamad na ako mag-edit at hindi ko naman sinave hehe!
Download this and other original video files with Multiply Premium. Thanks to Eky for introducing me to Alvin de Castro. (: Well, not actually introduce me to him... I cannot stop watching this video (and I'm supposed to be working! Hahaha!). As in. I even watched it in slow motion because I wanted to learn the steps ( nangangarap). Hahaha! You can watch the rest of his videos here. I loff!
In attendance: Roch, Marie, Tisha, Lana, Coni, Red, Jenny, Tata, Cindy, and me
We learned this in five weeks! :)) Tama ba? Thanks to Gio, Mara, and Sigrid of CADS. :D
Hip hop namaaaaaaaaaan!
Light skin, dark skin...
Hehe. Finally learned the chorus part today. And another four eights. Wowowee. I still can't do it the way you're supposed to, but what the hey. It's still dancing. :D Yay!
Attended another workshop with my officemates. This time, Tisha taught us the choreo for "Whatever You Like." I thought this was much easier than " Feedback" (which I still can't get) until I YouTube-d it and saw the choreo. Ganito pala dapat itsura ko: http://youtube.com/watch?v=2iT_WFB3gVI Hahaha, oh no. Ang hirap i-bading. (Got that word from Love, hahaha) d: I can't wait to finally try the classes in Groove Central tomorrow! P.S. I stitched together all the videos I took. Sorry, they're mostly of the... floor.
Kaich first sent me a YouTube link last Easter of them singing the "I Love You, Egg" song. It was funny, but I didn't really pay much attention to their channel. Then, yesterday I asked her about her status message, which apparently was from a Robin Thicke song. She sent me link to Zsos's cover of Jason Mraz's "Who Needs Shelter" then a link to their cover of Robin Thicke's "The Stupid Things." After that, I spent the entire day watching all the videos on their channel and even other related videos (Zandi and the Mercenaries of Funk). I loooove them. I'm an instant fan. I love this video in particular. Curling iron mic, FTW! And how funny is that guy Wilmar who just pops up during the chorus? HAHA! They're hilarious. I hope someone signs them. I'd totally buy their album. For now, thank you to Vixy, I'm listening to their videos converted to MP3s. (:
Her set list for the show last night in Glorietta - The Little Things
- Realize
- Battle
- Turn Your Lights Down Low (Bob Marley Cover) (mali title ko sa video, hahaha)
- Feelings Show
- Bubbly
Encore - Magic
The only song I didn't take a video of was "Battle." Had to cut some videos short in this video so I could squeeze everything into 10 minutes. I didn't want to flood your inbox, so I just stitched all my videos together. d: Except for "Magic" which I had to post separately `cause I shot the entire song. (: I was so happy to see her perform live. The only other concert I've seen where I sang along to all the songs was Jason Mraz's. And I'm so happy that they have a song together on Mr. A-Z's new album! Ah! Can't wait to hear it. ♥
You've got magic inside your fingertips It's leaking out all over my skin yeah every time that I get close to you you're making me weak with the way you look through those eyes
all I see is your face all I need is your touch wake me up with your lips you're calling me from up above yeah All I need you
I remember the way that you move You're dancing easily through my dreams It's hitting me harder and harder with all your smiles You are crazy gentle in the way you kiss
all I see is your face all I need is your touch wake me up with your lips calling me from up above
oh baby I need you to see me the way I see you lovely wide awake in the middle of my dreams
all I see is your face all I need is your touch wake me up with your lips calling me from up above all I see is your face all I need is your touch calling me from up above
She left before I had the chance to say Oh The words that were mend the things that were broken But now its far too late she's gone away
I raised my hand up in the air for almost SEVEN minutes for this video. And I'm so happy I remembered the trick Kuya Mong taught me when recording live music. The audio is AWESOME!
That may be all I need In darkness she is all I see Come and rest your bones with me Driving slow on Sunday morning And I never want to leave
Again, apologies in advance for ear-splitting shrieks in this particular video. I just listened to it again and nakakahiya mang aminin, most of that was ME. HAHAHA!
My favorite song off their album. I also like "Line Drawings."
| | (UP Sunken Garden, February 12, 2008)
Went to Sandwich's album launch last night. Read more here.
Tamad ako mag-caption. So yun na. |
She plays Olive Snook on my favorite new TV show. And this song is hee-larious. Watch for the part when she says, "How are you?"
Thanks to my good friend, Kaich, who made me listen to it.
I couldn't stop singing it in my head while watching episode 3—only, this time "Alejandro Alfredo*, the Espresso Boy." Hahahaha.
Somebody stop this obsession already! NOT. d:
*Evidence of the fact that I am watching TOO MANY shows. I am starting to switch show's characters. Haha! (Alejandro=Heroes; Alfredo=Pushing Daisies)
